Urban exploration

What would you say if you got this call?

Friend: "Hey Logan... you're a photographer right? Rob is too right?"
Me (literally seconds away from getting in the shower...): "Uh... yeah why what's up?"
Friend: "Wanna go explore a 16 story abandoned psych ward, take some pictures, maybe get some cool crap?"
Me (already getting ready to go): "I'll call Rob, we'll be over in a minute"

Day one, we grabbed out equipment, bought some surgical masks and flashlights and hit the road. Getting in wasn't too hard, and once we got to the second floor, light poured in through the window.
The first thing you notice in this place is the paint. Every inch of the wall is covered in paint that hasn't been maintained in 30+ years. Things are falling out of the ceiling, and the tiles on the floor are all smashed up. We took our time, and went through most of the open rooms, checking to see if there was anything left of interest. The place is naturally awesome looking, you can't bring a camera in there without taking an awesome picture.
We moved down to the basement at some point and came across some bio-hazard suits just chilling in a sink. It was pretty neat, but definitely a glove moment haha.
There's graffiti in a lot of parts, most of it isn't any good, but some of it makes for an interesting shot at least. Oh and we got much better masks when we went back again haha.

We made it all the way to the very top of this building. It's not what I expected. I figured there would be a lot of very creepy, destroyed patient's rooms but it's mostly just 400 of the same cubical styled, run down rooms. We found a few things, I even got a gift for my best friend. Not to mention a sweet fallout shelter sign haha. Anyways, this is just a small sampling of the place. I'm turning his little adventure into my final photo project for this quarter, so you'll all get to see the end results eventually. Let me know what you think so far!
